Deputy Speaker of South Korean National Assembly visits Finnish Parliament

Joo Seung-yong, Deputy Speaker of the South Korean National Assembly, and his delegation visited the Finnish Parliament on 3 October. The guest was welcomed by Deputy Speaker Mauri Pekkarinen.

The South Koreans were interested in the education and social security system of Finland, in addition to which the meeting covered the development of financial relations and the opportunities of promoting parliamentary-level exchange.

The meeting was also attended by Chair Kari Uotila (Left Alliance) and Vice Chair Hannu Hoskonen (Centre Party) from the Parliament's South Korean friendship group. In addition to the Deputy Speaker, the South Korean delegation consisted of Representatives Chung Woon Chun, Lee Dong Sup, Lee Jongkul, So Byung Hoon and Chung Inhwona.

Deputy Speaker Joo's visit to Finland included meetings at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Ministry of Education and Culture and Kela.
